The Ministry of Energy and Minerals of Somaliland has today announced the drilling of an oil well that was recently found in the Xood area of the Togdheer region.
The announcement ceremony was attended by the ministers of the ministries of energy and minerals, interior affairs, foreign affairs, information, environment, and justice, ambassadors of Somaliland Embassies, and oil drilling companies.
The Minister of Energy and Minerals reported on this oil well called Toosan one (Block SL 13/SL 10B).
The minister called to the national councils, government institutions, and the people of Somaliland that the last stage of checking the patrol in the country will begin.
The Minister of Energy and Minerals also said that the awareness event will be held in Burco town from the end of May to the beginning of April, as the oil region is being explored in the Togdheer region.
The companies Genel Energy and OPEC Somaliland under CBC from Taiwan will carry out drilling and oil exploration, according to the minister.
